A triptych, Goliath is a structural departure, the major image supported plinth-like, by two subordinate pieces to establish a vertical rectangle in three parts. The solidity of the two base pieces are needed to heft the weight of the heavy, watery, and long abandoned vessel that dominates the beach-like vista above them. The past is a potent force, and doesn't relinquish us easily.
